Happy to revisit this batch 10/17 Wasn’t as balanced as I recall and expect. Very strong acidity and tannins. Should be more soft, velvety and jammy. Honey can be more pronounced. update after letting it breath for 2 more days, incredibly jammy +balanced

Nomadblake: I’m not saying this one is bad or all Pips deserve a 5/5. We always prepare to give it a 5/5 rating before we crack a Pips, also because it’s a pre-commercial batch. This is already the best meadery (even brewery) on this planet. We have to trust them.

Yep sadly the age hasn’t done justice to this early days Mead from Pips 2017 ‘ just lacking robust jammy luscious and intense berries to coalesce with the mead ! The berry flavors have definitely dissipated. It’s was drinkable but nothing extraordinary.
