Also from the weekend. Slightly in favour of this iteration. A little more caramel toffee forward. Brown sugar, raisin toast and some vanilla-Essie notes from the barrel coming through. Heat is great. Open up really well at room temp.

From the w/end. Glad I’ve got more. Boozy and dense chic/caramel body. Stewed fruits and raisin toast, thick toffee leaning towards more intense treacle notes. Nice barrel sweetness. Every bit the American barley wine. Quite sweet overall.

Always been a fan of Lervig’s darker stuff. They’ve always stood up well against their counterparts. This is no different. Bitter dark chocolate, roasted notes and the barrel rings some nice sweetness. Vanilla, coconut and wood in just the right amount.

A very decent drop to break my TH drought. Nelson leads nicely, white grape and a bit of passion fruit. Some melon and citrus before closing out with a nice bitter bite.
