Yo this is actually good shiz. A tiny bit of grapefruit rind to remind you of its roots, but otherwise I think the barrel is pretty good. Very citrusy. I did find it less enticing the more I drank though.

Sweet candied prunes. Just so much candy that completely overpowers the beer for me. Can barely taste the age. This would be wildly good if that was restrained I think.

So much going on here to the point I'm not sure I can classify this purely as barleywine. Estery banana notes as if it was aged in rum barrels. Chocolate combined with your typical barleywine notes.

Eddie N. is drinking an Arabesque Reserve (2024) by Phase Three Brewing at Beer:30
Dips a little too much into barrel, but I'd rather have too much than too little. Toffee and caramel are great here. Kinda not worth the hype, but a great barleywine nonetheless.

This was surprisingly great in a cuvee, but by itself it wasn't great. Kinda thin. Only adjunct I really get here is cinnamon, and it's straight milquetoast here.
